In-house/ Field Service Electro-mechanical technician:

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• To service, repair, propose replacement parts or make product recommendations for the Belco Packaging Systems product family of Industrial and Medical semi-automatic and automatic sealing machinery, shrink tunnels, product handling equipment and complimentary options including custom integration

 

Other duties

• Repair and maintain Rental equipment, refurbishments, retrofits, and customizations

• Understand and follow Belco procedures

• Customer service oriented

• Answer phones

• Enter Sales order, process quotes, serving as a back up to Parts and Service Manager

 

Education training

• AA or bachelors in a related field

• Electrical and/or programming experience a plus

• 5 yrs. experience min

• PC literate – Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Excel required. QuickBooks knowledge preferred

• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual a plus

• Demonstrate ability to work under pressure

• Takes charge of projects with good follow through from start to finish

• Able to multi- task to effectively handle several projects simultaneously

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing customer requests

• Must have strong diagnostic skills

• Team player with positive attitude

• Must be very organized with attention to detail

• Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations and procedures

• Knowledge of hand tools and their use

• Must furnish own tools suitable for routine work

• Must possess current US passport and a valid California Driver’s License

• Be able to travel for overnight stays as scheduled for service and support both domestically and internationally

• Maintain a clean and neat professional appearance

• Must be physically fit and able to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing assigned tasks

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without physical restrain
