Job Position/Title: CNC Mill Set up/Operator

 

Reports to: Operations Manager

 

Job Summary

 

Responsible for CNC mill set up and job run, parts deburring ,regular machine maintenance, keep work area clean and organized.

 

Essential Functions

• CNC Machine set up. Basic G code program editing,  Reads and understand part prints and tolerances and follows written and verbal work instructions.  Follows production schedule to finish jobs in a timely manner while maintaining safety and quality control standards.

• Assist/Cover other tasks such as parts finishing and cleaning. Material stock organizing, etc.

• Help with other departments tasks when is requested and necessary.

 

Job Specification

• Education/Training

  • Minimum of High School Diploma/GED

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a machine shop environment or recent graduate in a Machinist Training Program.

  • Skilled in metal work and machine shop hand tools

  • Skilled in use of measuring tools; calipers, micrometers, height gauges, verniers and other test indicators

  • Skilled in surface grinding, deburring, drill press and band saw operation

  • Ability to read blueprints and follow production schedules

  • Ability to set-up CNC machines, operate Mill and Lathe

  • Ability to follow quality control standards and inspection

  • Team player

  • Ability to learn, follow directions and work independently

  • Good English verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to weld a plus

 

• Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, 10 lbs. repetitively.

  • Ability to safely drive forklift & warehouse equipment.

  • Stamina/endurance to perform physical functions of job throughout the day.
