Customer Service Representative

Job Position/Title: Customer Service Representative

 

Reports to: Controller

Status: Non-Exempt

 

Job Summary

In support of Sales & Operations coordinates customer service daily activities by assisting Belco customers both externally and internally, processes new, replacement and changes SO order requirements, performs open order follow-up. Maintains strict order control, customer service responsiveness, follow up, written correspondence including emails, memo’s, and support documents.

 

In support of Seal Fixture Product design coordinates with clients in obtaining drawings, files, and sampling. Maintains documentation of receipt, inventory of same, and provides daily status report

of Seal Fixture Open orders, design support requests & sampling. Works with SF Engineer to maintain tool schedule.

 

Essential Functions

  • Production Schedule – Maintain Customer Service portion of Production Schedule daily.  Update report for weekly Production Meeting.  Communicate immediately to sales any ship date issues. 

 

  • Order Processing – Follow up with Production Coordinator for on-time completion. Work daily with Production Coordinator.

 

  • Process shipments and communicate with Customer regarding shipments.

 

  • Documentation – Maintain Customer files and update documentation. Ensure proper documentation is included with shipments.

 

  • Billing - Supports AR with deposit invoicing and customer payment follow up.

 

Job Specification

  • Education/Training

    • Minimum of College Degree or equivalent work experience

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Complete understanding of creating, updating and following a Production Schedule

    • Ability to follow quality control and inspection standards

 

  • Other Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to use basic Windows programs including MS Office Suite

    • Understanding of inventory control procedures

    • Team player

    • Ability to learn, follow directions and work independently

    • Good verbal and written communication skills
